Ras Chambas is reaching out to Chamba natives throughout Ghana, urging them to see the title "Ghana National Chamba Chief" as nothing more than a personal brand for content creation, not an official traditional position.
This statement comes in response to increasing worries among community members about the title's legitimacy. Critics argue that it lacks a foundation in tradition, cultural authority, and the collective agreement of Chamba natives and sub-chiefs from all 16 regions of Ghana.
In light of the controversy, Ras Chambas stressed that traditional chieftaincy titles can't just be created or assigned without adhering to established customs and gaining broad consensus from stakeholders.
"A family and friends cannot impose a paramount chief on the entire Chamba ethnic group," Ras Chambas asserted.
