Super League Suffers Crushing Blow As English Premier League Top Clubs Ditch New Competition Again














Plans to revive the Super League have received some major knock after the English Premier League backed out of the new proposed competition Non-English Super League clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus are hoping to bridge the financial disparity between the Premier League and other European leagues Organizers of the Super League also believe that the creation of the competition will rival the UEFA Champions League 

English Premier League top clubs are pissed off with the organizers of the new Super League and will not be participating in the competition if it eventually kicks off. The Super League which is being pioneered by non-English Premier League clubs have warned of the danger that the financial disparity between the Premier League and other European leagues. 

According to Football Espana, the Premier League contingent have now agreed to a statute with the other 14 EPL clubs which requires them to support the English football pyramid. 

This means the top Premier League clubs will have to consult fans and only qualify for European competitions via sporting merit. The agreement also prohibits the creation of any other competition which automatically rules them out of the Super League that is being pioneered by Juventus, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Serie A president aware of Super League relaunch Meanwhile, Serie A president Lorenzo Casini has confirmed that clubs have told him that the relaunch of the controversial European Super League project is imminent, Sempremilan reports. Casini confirmed that Serie A is following the evolution of the story with interest and concern and tat Italy’s top clubs have warned the body of how imminent the project is. AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter Milan are the three Serie A clubs involved from Italy in the Super League project when it was first proposed back in April 2021.
