The Zabarma Chief of Greater Accra Sarki Bonkwaino Pro Umar Abubakar has stated that he is still in charge as Zabarma Chief of Greater Accra who is committed to ensuring the development of his people.
A statement issued and signed by the Sarki Zabarma of Greater Accra said “I still remain the legitimate Zabarma chief of Greater Accra after I went through all the due process that is required of a Zabarma Sarki”.
He argued that his legitimacy as a Chief stems from the many institutions that have conferred and recognized him as Zabarma community Chief including the Otublohum Mantse Nii Duodu Nsaki who used to be the acting President of Ga Traditional Council.
Sarki Bonkwaino Pro Umar Abubakar also disclosed that his application to the Ga Traditional Council to authenticate his legitimacy or otherwise also proved by a response by the Council that he is the legitimate Zabarma Chief.
A copy of the response which Mr. Pro Umar Abubakar showed to the media read “ Reference is made to your search request dated 16th August 2022 to respond as follows:
That Yes, the Ga Traditional Council recognize Pro Umar Abubakar Tanko (Zarmai Bon Kweino I) as the Zabarma Community Chief since 12th March 2000”.
The Greater Accra Zabarma Chief, upon, the documentary evidence is therefore urging all government institutions, Corporate bodies and individuals to acknowledge him as such and collaborate with his office in developing the Zongo communities.
“As Greater Accra Zabarma Chief, I want to express my commitment to partner with all institutions in order to bring massive development to the Zongo Communities in Greater Accra”, Sarki Bonkwaino Pro Umar emphasized.
